چکیده

We derive the average achievable rate of an adaptive wireless multicast method with antenna diversity in Nakagami fading channels when the rate is selected by the minimum signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the multicast group. Based on the limiting distribution of the minimum SNR, we then derive an approximation to the average achievable rate, which provides accurate values easily in a wide range of channel parameters. key words: wireless multicast, Nakagami fading, achievable rate, rate adaptation

Performance of Antenna Diversity with Turbo Trellis Coded Modulation Over Nakagami Channels

In this paper, we will use the Space Time Block codes for antenna diversity, and the performance of Space-Time – Turbo Trellis Coded Modulation (ST-TTCM) is investigated over Nakagami channels. For high data transmission over wireless fading channels, Space-Time Block Codes provide the maximal possible diversity advantage for multiple decoding algorithms. The effects of fading channel are consi...

Diversity Reception of an Asynchronous Blind Adaptive Multiuser Detector Through Correlated Nakagami Fading Channel

In this paper, blind adaptive multiuser detection (MUD) technique is developed for uplink transmission in multiuser space diversity DS-CDMA system to overcome multipath fading effect and multiple access interference. The system consists of a space diversity, a precombining blind adaptive detector (PBAD), and a weight adaptation technique based on the minimization of the mean output energy (MOE)...

Adaptive Space-Time-Spreading-Assisted Wideband CDMA Systems Communicating over Dispersive Nakagami-m Fading Channels

In this contribution, the performance of wideband code-division multiple-access (W-CDMA) systems using space-timespreading(STS-) based transmit diversity is investigated, when frequency-selective Nakagami-m fading channels, multiuser interference, and background noise are considered. The analysis and numerical results suggest that the achievable diversity order is the product of the frequency-s...

Multi - User Communication Systems : Capacity , Duality , and Cooperation

In this thesis we investigate the capacity of multi-user wireless communication channels. We first establish a duality relationship between the Gaussian broadcast and multiple-access channels. This relationship allows us to characterize the capacity region of the Gaussian broadcast channel in terms of the dual Gaussian multiple-access channel, and vice versa. This relationship holds for constan...

A Blind Hammerstein Diversity Combining Technique for Flat Fading Channels

Diversity combining techniques play an important role in combating the destructive effects of channel fading in wireless communication systems. In this work we present a blind diversity combining technique for Rayleigh flat fading channels based on Hammerstein type filters. We show that the performance of this technique is very close to ideal MRC system which is accepted as an optimum receiver ...
